Tim A. Ironman Lake Placid
Tim, Great time for a first ironman and a
challenging course.
Give it a few days, weeks or months, then it’ll really sink in ? Go
forward and live life without limits. What you’ve attained yesterday
is a mind-body mastery. With any challenge ahead of us – be it our
careers, relationship or a goal once though impossible to achieve,
time, patience, sacrifices, a strong will and a little strategy (i.e
your training) makes it all possible. You should see things a little
differently today and when you get back to your normal
everyday-life.
Cheers!! …….don’t forget to thank everyone around you who had
supported your journey to this day. Coach JD
Really enjoyed the Long Course Training Plan
which I credit to my 4:52 time in my first Half Ironman! I truly
feel like I was able to peak on race day, but wanted to see if you
offered any recommendations or services to design individualized
training plans to help me maintain this peak to continue to compete
at this level. I look forward to hearing how you continue to help me
compete at a high level! Best,
Craig
I just completed a very successful ironman 70.3
from your 18 week training plan and was very well prepared. I now am
planning to do another 70.3 in 13 weeks.

Coach JD, I have been meaning to email you about my California
70.3 experience in regards to your training plan. Going from two
sprints to doing the California 70.3 was quite a intimidating
thought for me. I purchased your HIM Training Plan and followed the
workouts as much as possible. I did miss some key workouts and was
apprehensive the morning of the event. I did do a full length swim
twice the week before the event and new I could do the swim. Your
training plan got me through the event. I finished atop the bottom
third of my age group. Not a great time, but my goal was to complete
the event. I had so much fun during the event. I completely
attribute my successful day to your training plan. I never new I
could do a 70.3 and have so much fun. I never had thoughts of giving
up and just kept moving forward. I amazed myself on how I got my
body to the point of completing a 70.3. I will recommend it to
anybody. Thank you. A side note; when I finished my bike and started
running I remember thinking that I only have to run. That is it.
Your plan had us do multiple bike/runs in one workout session. Those
were the toughest workouts for me mentally and physically. So when
it came time for me to do the run in the event, I was very confident
and happy I did not have to get back on the bike after the run.
Those multiple Bike/Run workouts built mental toughness and
confidence. Keep including those workouts.
Bill B. Ironman 70.3 California.
Hello Bill, Congrats on your phenomenal experience
at Ironman 70.3 California. I'm glad you had a great time. It's what
triathlon should be all about. It's also about reaching our human
excellence and I'm not just talking about the physical aspects of
the sport. You will notice how being a triathlete positively
affects other parts of your life.
Thanks for the note. Remember YOU did all the work. Live life
beyond limits.
Coach JD

Simon R. Phuket Triathlon
Simon, Congrats on your race finish in Phuket. I have studied your race results that you sent me and compared it to the other athletes in your category. Did you know if you shaved just 6 minutes from your total race time it would have put you in the top 10? Coach JD
I just completed your training program and my first triathlon! your program was GREAT! It really prepared me to accomplish my goal and then some. Now I need to know where to go from here. I would like to do another tri in a month, just a little further on the swim and bike.
Justine H. Sprint Triathlon
Justine, Congrats in completing your first triathlon. I'm sure it's a major breakthrough and you feel great about it. I would challenge you to do a distance that you would think impossible at this time for your next breakthrough. It will be a phenomenal experience. Swimming is probably one of your favorite discipline at this point. Continue with a maintenance workout by doing 1 to 2 workouts in each discipline a week. You can double up your workouts if you like but keep them at a low mileage. Once you decide on a new race, you can start your periodization cycle again, where you peak and recover in several phases. I wish you the very best and congratulations once again. Remember to live a life without limits! Coach JD.
Good day coach,
Many thanks for the prompt response.
I must compliment you on an excellent program. i have following your 1/2 ironman program since last year and had amazing results for my first 70.3.
Michael T.
Michael, Congrats on a great race performance. Remember YOU did all the work, so I commend you for that. Coach JD
I followed your Half ironman plan for Augusta this year and had a great result. 5:10 in my first Half.
Mike L. Ironman 70.3 Augusta
Just did my 1st sprint distance tri in San Francisco this last week-end.
